Bangladesh beat UAE in ACC U-19 Asia Cup.

Bangladesh defeated UAE by 61 runs in the match at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Saturday.

Chasing the target of 229 runs given by Bangladesh, UAE could score only 167 runs in 47.4 overs.

Hardik Pai scored 30 not out for UAE. Before that, Tanis Suri contributed 27 runs, Maroof Merchant 25, Aryans Sharma 22, Akshat Rai 16, Ammar Badami 14 runs.

In bowling, Bangladesh’s Mahfazur Rahman Rabi and Parvez Rahman Jibon took 4/4 wickets. Iqbal Hussain Imom and Chaudhur Rizwan took one wicket each.

Before that, Bangladesh scored 228 runs after losing the toss and being invited to bat.

Opener Ashikar Rahman Shibli top scored 71 runs for Bangladesh. He hit 3 fours and 1 six off 102 balls.

Another opener Jisan Alam scored 42 runs off 56 balls with 5 fours.

Ariful Ashlam scored 22, Iqbal Hussain scored 18 and captain Chaudhur Rizwan and Rafi Uzman added 12 runs each.

Dhruva Parasar of UAE took 6 wickets in bowling. Similarly, Ayan Afzal Khan took 2 wickets and Ammar Badami and Hardik Pai took 1 wicket each.

With this, four matches in the U-19 Asia Cup have been completed.

In another match today, Sri Lanka defeated Japan by 7 wickets.

India and Pakistan won the Group A match on Friday. On Friday, India defeated Afghanistan and Pakistan against Nepal.

Nepal is in Group ‘A’. India, Pakistan and Afghanistan are in Nepal’s group while Sri Lanka, UAE, Bangladesh and Japan are in Group ‘B’.

The top two/two teams from the two groups will enter the semi-finals. The two teams who win the semi-finals will play the final on 1st of December.
