India has emphasized on dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the Ukraine crisis. Expressing concern over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, India emphasized on dialogue and diplomacy.

India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ruchira Kamboj, expressed India’s deep concern over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine at the UN Annual General Assembly and called for an immediate end to hostilities and a return to dialogue and diplomacy. He emphasized that since this is not an era of war, it is one of dialogue and diplomacy.

India’s permanent representative to the United Nations said that India is concerned about the situation in Ukraine, noting that women, children and the elderly have died due to the conflict, and the people of both countries have suffered. He said that millions have been left homeless, most of them forced to seek refuge in neighboring countries, attacks on civilian infrastructure have made the situation more complicated and alarming. He said that India is worried about the recent developments caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict and urged both sides to hold talks for peace and stability.

“We have called for an immediate end to hostilities, and an immediate return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy. As the global system to which we all belong is based on respect for international law, the Charter of the United Nations and respect for territorial integrity, India is determined that the sovereignty of all states should be respected,’ said the Permanent Representative while presenting the Indian view that there is no alternative to negotiations without maintaining peace in the region while re-establishing friendship between Russia and Ukraine. .

Reiterating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized to the top leaders of Ukraine and Russia that ‘this is not an age of war’, the permanent representative said that Kamboja has continuously raised the issue that there can be no solution at the cost of human lives and that increasing violence is not in anyone’s interest, so differences and disputes are the only way to resolve them. He said that the solution is diplomacy and negotiation. He said that it is necessary to keep all means of diplomacy open for the establishment of peace.
